The Bad Bodega is a members-only store. This page explains member shipping benefits, the universal $9.99 handling fee, first-shipment-only free-shipping rules, ammunition restrictions, state-sensitive release conditions, documentation review, and carrier limitations that apply before an order is released.
The Bad Bodega sells to members only. Active membership is required to place product orders, but membership does not override federal, state, local, carrier, supplier, documentation, or destination-based restrictions. Shipping benefits, if included in your tier, apply only when the stated thresholds and conditions are met.
Because The Bad Bodega is a members-only site, every product order is placed by an active member. The table below explains how shipping benefits work by tier, including thresholds, weight caps, processing treatment, and the rules that still apply even when a member qualifies for free shipping.
| Membership Tier | Discount | Shipping Benefit | Weight Cap | Processing | Key Terms |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|

Shipping charges apply based on the order and destination. | N/A | Standard processing after payment clearance and any required review. | Subject to the $9.99 handling fee. Membership is required to order, but Stryker does not include a free-shipping benefit. |

The Bad Bodega applies a universal handling fee and a first-shipment-only free-shipping rule. This section is intended to eliminate confusion around what the shipping benefit covers and what the buyer must still pay.
Orders are processed after payment clears and any required destination, identity, compliance, inventory, or documentation review is complete. Processing speed can differ by tier, but shipment release still depends on whether the order is lawful, serviceable, and operationally ready to move.
Ammunition moves under tighter rules than standard merchandise. Carrier restrictions, state restrictions, documentation requirements, age-related controls, and destination eligibility can all affect whether the order is released, how it ships, and how long review takes.
Ammunition ships by ground service only where eligible. Air shipping is not available for ammunition or other HAZMAT Air items.
Carrier selection for ammunition is controlled by the fulfillment program, hazardous-material handling rules, and destination serviceability requirements.
Adult-signature, identity, or age-sensitive delivery controls may apply depending on the destination, product type, carrier requirements, and applicable law. Adult-signature service may incur a $2.75 per order fee, and standard signature service may incur a $2.00 per order fee.
The Bad Bodega currently limits ammunition fulfillment to serviceable lower-48 destinations only, subject to state and local review. Ammunition orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Washington, D.C., P.O. Boxes, APO addresses, and FPO addresses will not be released.
This matrix is a practical release guide for The Bad Bodega's ammunition workflow. It explains how we handle destination review and what may be required before shipment. It is not legal advice, and destination rules may change without notice.
| Destination | Bad Bodega Handling | What May Be Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| California | Dealer / Vendor Routing Required | California ammunition orders must be routed through a licensed California dealer or appropriately licensed ammunition vendor before release. | The Bad Bodega does not cover dealer transfer fees, vendor handling fees, background-check costs, or similar third-party compliance charges for California ammunition orders. |
| New York | Compliance Workflow Required | Orders are released only when The Bad Bodega can complete a compliant New York ammunition-sale workflow and any required eligibility or transfer steps. | Background-check and registration-sensitive handling may affect whether the order can move and how long review takes. |
| Illinois | FOID Review | Illinois ammunition orders may require FOID-related verification and, where requested, matching identity review before release. | Failure to provide required information may result in hold, item removal, or order cancellation. |
| Connecticut | Permit / Certificate Review | Connecticut orders may require a pistol permit, ammunition certificate, eligibility certificate, or other applicable records before release. | Documentation-sensitive destinations may take longer to review and are not guaranteed eligible for release. |
| Rhode Island | Certificate Review | Rhode Island ammunition orders may require blue card, hunter-education proof, or other eligibility review before release. | Orders remain subject to destination review even when a member otherwise qualifies for shipping benefits. |
| Massachusetts | License-Sensitive Review | Massachusetts orders are released only when the destination appears eligible under applicable firearms-license and ammunition-possession requirements. | Licensing-sensitive orders may be delayed, held, or declined if the required eligibility path is not satisfied. |
| New Jersey | Documentation-Sensitive | The Bad Bodega may request firearms ID-related documentation, government-issued identification, or other eligibility information before release. | Destination review may require additional verification even if checkout is technically possible. |
| Washington, D.C. | No Ammo Shipments | Ammunition orders to Washington, D.C. are not released by The Bad Bodega. | D.C. restrictions and operational limitations control this no-ship treatment. |
| Alaska | No Ammo Shipments | Ammunition orders to Alaska are not currently serviceable through our ammunition shipping workflow. | Free-shipping benefits do not apply. Carrier and operational limitations control this restriction. |
| Hawaii | No Ammo Shipments | Ammunition orders to Hawaii are not currently serviceable through our ammunition shipping workflow. | Free-shipping benefits do not apply. Carrier and operational limitations control this restriction. |
| Puerto Rico | No Ammo Shipments | Ammunition orders to Puerto Rico are not currently serviceable through our ammunition shipping workflow. | Free-shipping benefits do not apply. Carrier and operational limitations control this restriction. |
| P.O. Boxes / APO / FPO | No Ammo Shipments | Ammunition orders cannot be released to P.O. Boxes, APO addresses, or FPO addresses. | Ground-carrier and serviceability rules control this restriction. |
| All Other Lower-48 Destinations | Case-by-Case Release | Orders may still be reviewed for age, destination, local restrictions, carrier acceptance, fraud screening, inventory routing, and product category. | A destination not specifically listed above is not automatically guaranteed eligible for shipment. |
Some orders cannot move until The Bad Bodega receives the information needed to complete identity, age, destination, fraud, or category-specific review. Members are responsible for understanding whether they may lawfully receive the item ordered in their jurisdiction.
Depending on destination and product category, The Bad Bodega may request identification, permit, certificate, license, dealer information, government-issued ID, or other eligibility records before release.
Orders shipping to an address different from the billing address may be delayed for identity, fraud-prevention, or address verification before fulfillment can continue.
If required documentation is not provided in a timely manner, The Bad Bodega may continue to hold the order, remove the affected item, or cancel the order.
The Bad Bodega reserves the right to hold, deny, edit, split, limit, or cancel any order that cannot be released safely, lawfully, or operationally under current destination, carrier, supplier, transfer, inventory, fraud-prevention, or documentation conditions.
Once released to the carrier, delivery timing depends on routing conditions, service level, scan events, weather, restricted-item handling, signature controls, and carrier policy. Transit estimates remain estimates and are not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed in writing. All fulfillment orders ship FOB Shreveport.
Members are responsible for submitting complete and accurate shipping information. Incorrect, incomplete, refused, undeliverable, or non-serviceable shipments can cause delays, return-to-sender events, additional charges, or cancellation.
If the shipping address is incorrect, email The Bad Bodega immediately. Once an order enters fulfillment or carrier possession, address changes may be limited, unavailable, or carrier-restricted. Address changes and package intercepts after processing may incur a $23.00 fee per package.
Orders that are refused, returned without approval, or fail delivery because of customer-supplied address issues may be subject to review, a 15% restocking fee, re-shipping charges, and additional shipping charges where permitted. Returned freight must be prepaid, COD parcels are not accepted, and return authorization / RMA requirements may apply before credit can be issued.
Report damaged, incomplete, incorrect, lost, or stolen shipments within 5 days of the delivery date or expected delivery date, and preserve the original packaging for carrier inspection. Carrier claims are generally capped at $100.00 unless insurance was requested on the order. Additional insurance may be available at $0.95 per $100.00 of order total with a $2.90 minimum, and replacement shipments require a new order.
If your order involves ammunition, a documentation-sensitive state, a split-shipment concern, or a question about whether your tier qualifies for the first-shipment free-shipping benefit, email The Bad Bodega before ordering. That is the cleanest way to avoid preventable delay, added charges, or release issues.
